How to Burn SRT/Sub Subtitle Files to DVD on Mac?

Some video players on computer including VLC can render subtitles from an external file (.srt or .sub) on videos during playback. However, many embedded players in devices, such as Xbox 360, may don't support that. Then, if you wanna add subtitle to your video for playback, so we then can Burn videos with .srt or .sub files to DVD for DVD Player on Mac (Snow Leopard, Lion included).

First of all, you need extract the tracks or get the video and subtitle files separated (such as .avi and .srt file ), and then you can re-combine the two into an container like AVI with subtitles embedded by using "ffmpegX". Follow this:

Step 1. Embed the subtitles into the video file:

Launch ffmpegX, click the "Open" button to load the original video file.

Step 2. Modify the parameter for embedded subtitles:

Then click "Filters" tab -> check "VOB Subtitles" -> click "Load Subs" button -> select the subtitle file.  And you can also modify the Pos values and  Font size to align the embedded subtitles properly.

After that, say, embedding subtitles, you now can go on to burn the videos with .srt or .sub files to DVD with iSkysoft DVD Creator for Mac.
