This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to use DVD Ripper for Mac to rip DVD movies for your iPod, iPad, iPhone, etc. or to virtually any video format of your choice.
To add a DVD, Drag & drop DVD disc icon
on the desktop to the program, or go to "File" menu and choose "Load DVD" to locate your DVD (commercial DVD movie or DVD-R) you want to add.

Note: The default setting only read main feature of the DVD movie for conversion, without DVD menu and the movie just starts playing right away. If you want to import the whole DVD, go to "Preference" and select "All titles" from "Load Contents in a DVD" dropdown list under Advanced tab.
Mac DVD Ripper provides optimized presets: Apple devices including iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple TV; Apple Software like iMovie, Final Cut Pro; and a variety of players like Xbox 360, PSP, PS3, Nintento Wii, Walkman, Creative Zen, Sandisk Sansa, etc., making the DVD ripping for your portable devices as easy as 1-2-3! If you choose one of Apple devices as the output format, the output videos could be imported to iTunes automatically after the video conversion.

If you just want to extract audio from video on Mac OS X, choose audio format (MP3, WAV, AAC).
If you want to resize video and change video and audio settings manually, say, set a lower bit rate to compress the output video, just click the "Options" button to customize output settings.

If you want to join several titles or chapters into one on Mac, check the check box 'Merge into one file' on the main interface.
Click the "Convert" button to start DVD ripping and then you can just go out for a walk or take a nap, and the conversion may have been finished when you come back.
