How to Download Videos from YouTube on Mac OS X
Install Free Video Downloader for Mac
Launch Free Video Downloader for Mac installer and a wizard will guide you through the setup process. Free YouTube Downloader for Mac will automatically launch when installation finished.
Note: In order to install or uninstall Free Video Downloader successfully, quit Safari, Chrome or Firefox.

Download YouTube Videos to Mac
Launch Safari, Chrome or Firefox, and go to YouTube.com. The Download button will show up at the top left corner of the video when it is detected on the webpage. Free Video Downloader for Mac offers three options for you to download videos:
A) Click the button and let the YouTube download wizard to do the thing for you.

B) Drag the URL to the Free Video Downloader for Mac dock icon to start downloading.
C) Go to Download menu and choose Enter a URL, then click OK

Note: You can let this app run background to do the task of downloading, and search more cool videos on YouTube. Add new videos to the download queue with a single click. Click the application icon on the dock to bring Free Video Download window on screen, so you can check the download process and find downloaded YouTube videos in Library.

Play downloaded YouTube videos on Mac
Click Library on the left side of the Free Video Downloader for Mac window to see the downloaded videos on the right.
Double-click the item to view or play it with the built-in FLV player.

You can also use Free YouTube Downloader for Mac to play and manage your own FLV videos on your Mac. Go to Library menu and choose Add flv files to Library, navigate to the directory where your FLV files are saved, and hit Open.

Now your FLV files are in the library and you can easily view or access to them anytime you want.
