NVIDIA® CUDA™ and AMD® processors physically add separated GPUs to your computers. And while other software run using the CPU space, iSkysoft now instead uses these separated GPUs to convert videos and rip DVDs. By doing so, the video conversions can be finished much faster and never fight with other programs to spare CPU space for working so you can go on your internet surfing, enjoying online movies and music and more even faster.
Start to convert and rip 30 times faster
1. Check the computer processor
Make sure your processor is one using NVIDIA® CUDA™ or AMD® tech:
- Windows 8/Windows 7 users: go to Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsPerformance Information and Tools and you will see your processor information there.
- Windows XP users: these two methods work for the check: right click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> double click on processors, or right click My Computer -> Properties -> read your processor Type on General tab.
Then check the supported graphic cards list and make sure whether yours is available or not: Supported NVIDIA graphic cards, AMD graphics cards)
2. Update the NVIDIA® CUDA™ driver or AMD® drive to the latest version
The 30X faster video conversion requires the latest NVIDIA® CUDA™ driver or AMD® driver. And if the drive on your computer is the latest one, omit this step, if not, update it:
- Download the latest NVIDIA® CUDA™ driver
- Or download the AMD® Media Codec Package (also known as the Avivo™ Package). This is required in the video conversion if your computer use AMD-enabled graphic card.
3. Rip or convert DVD/video with iSkysoft video converters and DVD rippers.
